I was born in Hokkaido, Japan and I began practicing Japanese calligraphy at the young age of 6 and have been practicing for over 20 years now. In 2015, I began teaching at a nursing home in Japan as a volunteer Japanese calligraphy teacher.
While teaching at the nursing home, I realized how much people enjoy calligraphy and noticed it seemed to relax them.
Moreover, I noticed that when people were learning calligraphy they seemed to be more at peace.

While volunteering as a teacher at the nursing home, I began to market my services overseas from April of 2019.  
Specifically, I started marketing Japanese calligraphy hanging scrolls, logos, and tattoo designs along with offering Japanese calligraphy workshops to foreigners visiting Japan. To date, I have sold over 150 pieces of work overseas.

In 2020, I started online Japanese calligraphy classes as well as Sumi-e classes.
I have taught over 100 students ranging from the U.S., U.K., Norway, and other countries in English.
My motto is to try to touch people’s hearts through my artworks and calligraphy classes.
