- Joined lesson
I’m continuously learning from Shin Ei many things related to Japanese aesthetics, in the field of calligraphy, but also in the field of Sumi-e, and in general as well. In Shodo, I happened to integrate the 3 main styles, and the principles that are driving the Kaisho, Gyosho, and Sosho
- Reason for joining
After a couple of years of Japanese Calligraphy classes, I needed to have a broader point of view to get more autonomy, and also starting classical sumi-e
- Impression
I like the interactions with Shin Ei, and we share a lot of humour while learning. Shin Ei has the ability to explain clearly and guide her students to learn on the long term, and express themselves beautifully. I cannot recommend more Shin Ei ;-)
- Expectations for future activities
My objective with Shin Ei is to be able to continue producing great calligraphy, classical black and white Sumi-e. Ultimately, As a bonsai practitioner, my objective is to produce my own scrolls to display my bonsais in international exhibitions
